Live listeners
Who is listening right now, how the audience moves through a broadcast, and where the figures go afterwards.
While your station is on air, MAWCast counts the listeners connected to your stream and updates the figure in real time: in Control, under the player on your public page, and in MAW Assistant and its Discord notices.
What you see live
| Figure | What it is |
|---|---|
| Listeners now | The listeners connected to your stream at this moment. |
| Session peak | The highest audience of the broadcast in progress. |
| Listener timeline | How the audience has risen and fallen since the broadcast began. |
| On-air time | Measured from the moment the source connected. |
| All-time peak | Real history. Figures that came from a demo broadcast carry a DEMO tag. |
After the broadcast
When a broadcast ends, its figures stay with it in its Broadcast Session: the listener timeline, peak listeners, average listeners and average listening time. Sessions are never removed because of your plan, and Analytics brings them together so you can see how your audience changes over time.
Why a dash is not a zero
A zero is a measurement: it says nobody was listening. Where there is no measurement — a broadcast whose figures were not saved, for instance — MAWCast shows — with the reason instead. Presenting one as the other would make every real audience figure impossible to trust.
