MAWCast terminology
The words this documentation uses, and exactly what each one means here.
| Term | Meaning in MAWCast |
|---|---|
| Station | One radio service: one address, one library, one schedule, one page. |
| Mountpoint | The path on the stream server a listener or an encoder connects to. |
| Fallback | Where the server sends listeners when a mount has no source connected. |
| Source | A broadcasting program connected to a mountpoint. The username is always source. |
| AutoDJ | The rotation MAWCast plays when no source is connected. |
| Rotation | The playlists AutoDJ draws from, and the order it draws them in. |
| Queue | Tracks inserted to play next, ahead of the rotation. |
| Session | The record of one live broadcast, from connection to disconnection. |
| Public page | The page at your station address. |
| Workspace | Your account and everything in it, including every station. |
