Custom domains

Your station address, and putting your listeners on a domain of your own.

Your station address

Every station gets an address made from its name when it is created:

text
myradio.mawcast.com

That address is the public page, and it is the name in the mountpoint your encoder connects to. It is fixed at creation — see General settings.

A domain of your own

On the Broadcast and Network plans, a station's public page can also be reached at a domain you own — radio.example.com as well as myradio.mawcast.com. MAWCast handles HTTPS for it automatically; there is no certificate for you to manage.

It changes the address, not the station

A custom domain only changes the address listeners use. The station behind it is the same one, on the same MAWCast infrastructure, with the same stream — it does not connect an outside streaming server.

Your own site, too

If you would rather keep your own site and put the station inside it, see Embed the player. The embed carries the audio and what is playing, and the page around it is yours — on any plan.
