Connection details
The five values every broadcasting program asks for, and where to find yours.
Your credentials live in Control on Overview, in the Encoder connection card. They belong to one station, and the source password is the only secret among them.
The hostname, port and mountpoint above are an illustration. Copy yours from Control — a source password is the one credential that lets anyone broadcast as your station.
The username never changes
Icecast has one source user per mount and it is called source. Some programs fill it in for you and never ask.
If the connection is refused
A refusal is almost always one of three things: the mountpoint is written without its leading slash, the password has been rotated since you last copied it, or another encoder already holds the mount. See Connection errors.
