What your listeners see while you are on air.
MAWCast Studio is not released yet. This page describes how it will work; until then, connect your own encoder (see Connect your software).
Settings → Now playing decides the title sent to the server: what a listener's player shows and what your public page reads. Three modes:
| Mode | What is sent |
|---|---|
| Manual | What you type in Title / message, when you press Send or Enter. The default. |
| Auto | The first line of a text file you choose, each time the file changes. |
| Disabled | Nothing: Studio leaves the title alone. |
Current shows the last title set. A title is only sent while you are live.
Manual
The field is not only for track names:
- Artist and title, the usual case.
- The name of the programme.
- A message — a guest's name, a shout-out, where the show is going next.
Auto
Choose a text file with Choose file (.txt, .log or .csv). Many DJ and playout programs can write the current track to a file; Studio watches it and sends its first line whenever it changes.
Going live does not send the title already in the field. Press Send once you are on air, or let the next change in the file do it.
Whatever was sent stays on air until it is changed. A stale track title is worse than the name of the show, which is always correct.
