MAWCast Studio is included free with every plan. Signed in to your account, it already knows your stations, so none of the values on this page need copying. If you prefer your own encoder, everything below works.
Everything below is for connecting a third-party encoder by hand. Every Icecast-capable program asks for the same things under different names; once you know the mapping, any of them takes two minutes.

Control shows the station as live within a few seconds of the encoder connecting.
DJ software
VirtualDJ, rekordbox and Serato do not send MP3 to an Icecast station themselves. MAWCast Studio captures their audio directly; each page explains why.
